late sleeper
Rises after noon
A late sleeper is someone who habitually sleeps until late morning or afternoon, whether by preference or natural circadian rhythm.
The term is neutral, unlike the judgmental *slugabed*: I'm a late sleeper, so don't call before noon.
It can also describe someone who adopted sleeping late relatively recently: She became a late sleeper after retiring.
