knee slide
Goal scorer's flourish
A knee slide is a celebratory move, especially in soccer, where a player drops to their knees and slides across the grass after scoring a goal.
The slide typically covers several feet, arms often spread wide or pumping.
It has become one of the sport's iconic goal celebrations: He ran toward the corner flag and went into a knee slide.
