kibbe

Cracked wheat dish

Kibbe is a Middle Eastern dish of ground meat (usually lamb) mixed with bulgur wheat and spices, formed into balls, patties, or a layered casserole.

Raw kibbe, served like a tartare, is a delicacy in Lebanese cuisine.

Also spelled kibbeh or kubbeh.

We ordered kibbe and hummus as appetizers.
