jury panels
Courtroom decision makers
Jury panels are groups of prospective jurors summoned to a courthouse, from which trial juries are selected.
The panel undergoes voir dire—questioning by attorneys and the judge—to identify bias or conflicts.
Those not selected may serve on other cases or be dismissed.
The jury panel for the murder trial included over sixty citizens.
