jump leads
Dead battery solution
Jump leads are a pair of heavy electrical cables with clamps at each end, used to start a vehicle with a dead battery by connecting it to a working battery in another vehicle.
The cables transfer power from the live battery to the dead one, allowing the engine to turn over.
Called jumper cables in American English.
