jazzmen
Bebop band members
Jazzmen is the plural of jazzman—a male musician who plays jazz.
The term belongs to an era when jazz was dominated by men and generic masculine forms were standard: The jazzmen of the 1940s bebop scene revolutionized American music.
Now largely replaced by gender-neutral alternatives like jazz musicians or jazz players.
