iron-on patches
Fabric decorations, thermally attached
Iron-on patches are decorative or functional fabric pieces with heat-activated adhesive backing.
You apply them by pressing with a hot iron, which melts the adhesive and bonds the patch to clothing or other fabric.
They're used to cover holes, reinforce worn areas, or add embellishment: She ironed on patches to hide the stains on her kid's jeans.
