innit
Cockney confirmation request
Innit is British slang for "isn't it," used as a tag question seeking agreement or confirmation: Nice day, innit?
The contraction has expanded beyond its grammatical origins to function as a general-purpose tag after almost any statement: That was mental, innit.
Associated with working-class London speech, especially among younger speakers.
