aint
Colloquial negative word
Aint is a nonstandard spelling of ain't, itself a contraction of "am not," "is not," "are not," "has not," or "have not." The spelling without the apostrophe appears in dialect writing and informal contexts: I aint going nowhere.
Both forms are stigmatized in formal English but widespread in casual speech across many dialects.
