ink sketches
Drawn with pens
Ink sketches are drawings made with ink rather than pencil or charcoal, typically quick studies or preliminary works rather than finished pieces.
The medium allows for bold lines and sharp contrasts but little room for correction: Her journal was filled with ink sketches of street scenes.
The term emphasizes both the material and the informal, spontaneous quality of the work.
