infallible
Incapable of error
Infallible means incapable of error or failure.
The word applies most famously to papal infallibility—the Catholic doctrine that the Pope cannot err when speaking officially on matters of faith.
More broadly, anything infallible is completely reliable: an infallible method, an infallible memory.
The word often carries ironic undertones, since few things truly never fail: His infallible sense of direction got us lost again.
