ice queens
Frigid female monarchs
Ice queens are women who appear cold, aloof, and emotionally distant—beautiful but unapproachable.
The term suggests regal bearing combined with chilly reserve: She had a reputation as an ice queen, but she was warm once you got to know her.
In fiction, ice queens often serve as love interests whose emotional walls must be melted by the protagonist.
