den mothers
Cub Scout supervisors
Den mothers are adult women who lead dens—small groups of children in Cub Scouts.
The term extends to any woman who takes a nurturing, supervisory role over a group: She became the den mother of the new hires, showing them around and answering questions.
The role combines maternal care with organizational authority.
