ice packs
Swelling reduction tools
Ice packs are sealed pouches containing gel or liquid that stay cold after freezing, used to reduce swelling, ease pain, or keep things cool: Put an ice pack on that bruise.
The term also refers to large expanses of frozen seawater—masses of pack ice covering polar regions: The ship navigated through the Arctic ice packs.
