iPad kids
Device-dependent young ones
iPad kids are children who spend excessive time on tablets and smartphones, often to the point where screens become their primary source of entertainment and soothing.
The term carries implicit criticism—of permissive parenting, shortened attention spans, or a generation raised on algorithmic content rather than traditional play: Every restaurant is full of iPad kids now.
Sometimes used self-deprecatingly by young adults who grew up this way.
