hypernasality
Too much nose
Hypernasality is excessive nasal resonance in speech, where too much air escapes through the nose during sounds that should come mainly through the mouth.
It creates a distinctive quality sometimes described as "talking through the nose." The condition often results from cleft palate, neurological disorders, or problems with the soft palate: Speech therapy can help reduce hypernasality.
