Hot Pocket is a brand of microwaveable turnovers—dough pockets filled with meat, cheese, vegetables, or other combinations.
The name has become somewhat generic for any similar handheld stuffed pastry heated in a microwave: I grabbed a hot pocket for lunch.
The filling notoriously reaches scalding temperatures while the crust stays lukewarm, a quirk that's become a running joke.
