Bumper mounting point
A hitch receiver is a square tube mounted to a vehicle's frame, designed to accept a trailer hitch or other towing accessories.
The receiver provides a standardized mounting point—typically 1¼ or 2 inches square—into which a ball mount, cargo carrier, or bike rack can be inserted and secured with a pin: Make sure the ball mount is the right size for your hitch receiver.
