hidden identities
Concealed true personas
Hidden identities are concealed aspects of who someone really is—their true name, background, profession, or nature.
The phrase appears in discussions of undercover work, secret lives, and anonymous activity: The spy maintained several hidden identities throughout the Cold War.
In fiction, hidden identities drive plots involving superheroes, impostors, and characters living double lives.
