Car stereo controller
A head unit is the central control panel of a car's audio or entertainment system—the component mounted in the dashboard that includes the display, buttons, and controls.
It connects to speakers, amplifiers, and other components: I upgraded my head unit to one with Apple CarPlay.
Also called a car stereo or deck.
