hasta la vista

See you later

Hasta la vista is Spanish for "until we see each other again"—a casual goodbye equivalent to "see you later." The phrase became widely known in English through the 1991 film *Terminator 2*, where Arnold Schwarzenegger's robot character delivers it as a tough-guy farewell before violence.

Now often used playfully or ironically when parting: Hasta la vista, baby.
