go for launch
Mission is greenlit
Go for launch signals readiness to proceed, originally from NASA mission control where each station would confirm systems were "go" before a rocket launch.
The phrase now applies broadly to any situation where final approval is given to begin: We've got all the permits—we're go for launch.
Sometimes shortened to just go for launch as a declaration that everything is ready.
