glasseye
Socket filler, artificial
Glasseye refers to a fish with large, prominent, reflective eyes—particularly certain species of priacanthids (bigeyes) found in tropical waters.
The name describes the glassy, luminous appearance of the eye.
Glasseye also means an artificial eye made of glass, or an eye affected by walleye (a whitish opacity): His glasseye caught the light strangely.
