gas lines
Waiting for fuel
Gas lines are pipes that carry natural gas or other fuel gases, typically running underground or through buildings to furnaces, stoves, and water heaters.
A gas line can also mean a queue of vehicles waiting at a filling station during fuel shortages: The gas lines during the 1973 oil crisis stretched for blocks.
