funfest
Big joyful gathering
A funfest is an event or occasion characterized by widespread enjoyment and festive activity: The company picnic turned into an all-day funfest.
The word often carries a slightly ironic or exaggerated tone, describing something perhaps more chaotic than genuinely fun: Tax season is always a real funfest around here.
