full as a tick
Eaten too much
Full as a tick describes being completely stuffed with food or drink, the way a tick swells when engorged with blood.
The expression is folksy and mostly Southern or rural American: I couldn't eat another bite—I'm full as a tick.
It can also mean very drunk, since both states involve being filled to capacity.
