freeloaders

Those who mooch

Freeloaders are people who take advantage of others' generosity without contributing their fair share.

The term carries strong disapproval, suggesting someone who habitually gets free food, lodging, money, or other benefits while giving nothing in return.

The freeloaders showed up right at dinnertime, as usual.

Unlike guests, who are invited, freeloaders impose themselves and exploit hospitality or resources meant for others.
