fox kit
Baby red hunter
A fox kit is a young fox, typically under a year old.
Kit is one of several terms for juvenile foxes—cub and pup are equally common.
The term applies from birth through the first months of life, when young foxes remain dependent on their parents: We spotted a fox kit near the den.
