foveal
Sharp vision zone
Foveal describes something relating to or located in the fovea—the small pit at the center of the retina where visual acuity is sharpest.
In vision science, foveal vision refers to what you see when looking directly at something, as opposed to peripheral vision: The text was too small for foveal processing at that distance.
