four aces

Four aces is the highest-ranking hand in many poker variants—four cards of the same rank, all aces.

Since aces outrank other cards, four aces beats four kings, four queens, and so on.

The phrase sometimes appears figuratively for an unbeatable advantage or perfect set of assets: She came to the negotiation holding four aces.
