flight navigation
Guiding airborne travel
Flight navigation is the process of determining and maintaining an aircraft's position and course.
It encompasses methods from basic visual reference to landmarks (pilotage) through radio beacons and satellite systems (GPS).
Pilots navigate using instruments, charts, and increasingly automated systems: The flight navigation system plotted our route around the storm.
