flash hider
Conceals gunfire glow
A flash hider is a device attached to the muzzle of a firearm that disperses the burning gases escaping when a round is fired, reducing the visible flash.
This helps prevent the shooter from being temporarily blinded in low-light conditions and makes it harder for others to spot the shooter's position.
Also called a flash suppressor.
The rifle came equipped with a standard flash hider.
