fireman's lift
Over-shoulder evacuation hold
A fireman's lift is a method of carrying someone by draping them over one shoulder, leaving the carrier's hands relatively free.
The technique distributes weight efficiently and is used in rescue situations, though it also appears in roughhousing and sports: He threw her over his shoulder in a fireman's lift and carried her to the car.
