finger spinners
Bearing-based stress relievers
Finger spinners are small handheld toys with a central bearing that allows them to spin when flicked.
They became a brief but intense craze around 2017, marketed as stress relievers or focus aids for children with ADHD, though evidence for therapeutic benefits was thin.
Schools widely banned them as distractions.
Also called fidget spinners.
