female condom

Insertable contraceptive pouch

A female condom is a contraceptive device inserted into the vagina before intercourse, forming a barrier to prevent pregnancy and reduce transmission of sexually transmitted infections.

Unlike the more common male condom worn on the penis, it lines the vaginal canal and covers part of the external genitalia.

Also called an internal condom.
