fake interview
Pretend job audition
A fake interview is a simulated job interview conducted for practice rather than actual employment.
Career counselors, coaches, or friends pose questions so candidates can rehearse answers, refine delivery, and reduce anxiety before facing the real thing: I did three fake interviews before my Goldman Sachs screening.
Also called a mock interview or practice interview.
