expanded form
Full notation version
Expanded form is a way of writing numbers that shows the value of each digit separately: 347 becomes 300 + 40 + 7.
The format makes place value explicit, breaking a number into the sum of its parts.
Used primarily in elementary math education to help students understand how digits represent different magnitudes.
