evacuation notices
Official departure orders
Evacuation notices are official warnings directing people to leave an area due to imminent danger—typically wildfires, hurricanes, floods, or chemical spills.
They range from voluntary advisories to mandatory orders: The county issued evacuation notices for all residents within five miles of the fire.
Ignoring mandatory notices may mean emergency services won't attempt rescue.
