elite units
Crack military teams
Elite units are military or paramilitary formations selected, trained, and equipped to higher standards than regular forces.
They typically handle specialized missions—special operations, counterterrorism, reconnaissance—requiring exceptional skill or physical conditioning: Navy SEALs are among the most famous elite units.
The term extends to highly trained police tactical teams and, loosely, to any group considered the best within an organization.
