edge in
Barely fit yourself
To edge in is to insert oneself or something gradually into a tight space or situation, often where there's barely room: She edged in between two parked cars.
It can also mean to manage inclusion despite resistance or limited opportunity: He edged in a few comments during the meeting.
The sense is of careful, incremental movement rather than bold entry.
