First work rotation
The early shift is a work period beginning in the morning, typically the first of multiple shifts in a workplace that operates extended hours.
Workers on the early shift start before or around dawn and finish by mid-afternoon: I'm on early shift this week, so I have to be there by six.
Also called the day shift or first shift.
