dust masks
Particulate breathing shields
Dust masks are simple protective coverings worn over the nose and mouth to filter out airborne particles—dust, pollen, sawdust, or other debris.
They're typically disposable, made of lightweight fabric or paper, and secured with elastic bands.
Unlike respirators, dust masks don't seal tightly to the face and offer limited protection against fumes, gases, or very fine particles: Grab a dust mask before you start sanding.
