dunk contest
Aerial acrobatics competition
A dunk contest is a basketball competition where players perform slam dunks judged on creativity, athleticism, and style rather than scoring points.
The NBA's annual Slam Dunk Contest during All-Star Weekend is the most famous example: He brought out props for the dunk contest.
Players often incorporate elaborate setups—jumping over cars, wearing blindfolds, or involving celebrity assistants.
