Most Improved
Best growth award
Most Improved is an award category recognizing not the best performer but the one who has shown the greatest advancement from a previous baseline.
Common in schools, sports, and workplaces: She won Most Improved Player after barely making the team last year.
The award can feel backhanded—acknowledging progress while implying you started from a low point.
