dune bashing
Sand hill racing
Dune bashing is the recreational activity of driving vehicles—typically four-wheel-drive SUVs or ATVs—over sand dunes at high speeds, climbing steep faces and descending rapidly.
Popular in desert regions like the Arabian Peninsula and North Africa, it's a tourist attraction and local pastime: We went dune bashing in Dubai.
The sport requires skilled driving to avoid getting stuck or rolling over.
