dummy hand
Tableau partner plays
In card games, particularly bridge, the dummy hand is the hand of cards laid face-up on the table after the opening lead, played by the declarer rather than its owner.
The partner of the declarer becomes "the dummy" and takes no active role in that round.
She studied the dummy hand before planning her strategy.
