dredgings
Scooped channel debris
Dredgings are the material brought up from the bottom of a body of water by dredging—silt, mud, sand, and whatever else has settled there.
The term also applies to residue or dregs more generally: the dredgings of the coffee pot, the dredgings of memory.
In cooking, dredgings are the flour or breadcrumbs left over after coating food.
