double-dipping
Chip etiquette violation
Double-dipping is dipping a chip or vegetable into a shared dip, taking a bite, then dipping again—contaminating the communal bowl with your saliva.
The term extends to any situation where someone takes two bites at the same apple: collecting a pension while drawing a salary from the same employer, or billing two clients for the same work.
He was accused of double-dipping by charging both departments for travel expenses.
