donation pile
Giving-away stack
A donation pile is an accumulation of items set aside to give away, typically to charity or thrift stores.
Most households have one—a corner, box, or bag where outgrown clothes, duplicate kitchen gadgets, and unwanted gifts collect until someone hauls them off: I put those old sweaters in the donation pile.
The pile tends to grow faster than it empties.
