dogsit
Mind someone's pooch
To dogsit is to look after someone else's dog while they're away, the canine equivalent of babysitting: I'm dogsitting for my neighbor this weekend.
The term covers everything from staying at the owner's home to hosting the dog at your own place.
Also appears as dog-sit.
